Senior Investment Attraction Officer

Fraser Coast Regional Council has established a new Economic Development and Advocacy Directorate to drive the region's growth agenda and support delivery of Fraser Coast Futures. As part of this evolution, Council is seeking a senior Investment Attraction Officer to identify, facilitate, and progress investment opportunities that will contribute to jobs, economic growth and long-term regional prosperity.

Reporting to the Manager Economic Development, you will work directly with investors, developers, businesses, government agencies and industry representatives to promote the Fraser Coast as an investment destination, facilitate investment enquiries and progress opportunities across priority sectors.

Responsibilities

- Build and maintain an investment pipeline aligned to Council's economic development priorities.
- Lead and coordinate engagement with investors, developers, businesses and government stakeholders.
- Identify, assess and progress investment opportunities across priority sectors.
- Prepare targeted investment attraction materials, presentations, briefings and market intelligence.
- Analyse market,



industry and economic data to identify opportunities and support informed decision-making.
- Facilitate investment enquiries by connecting proponents with relevant Council teams, agencies and regional partners.
- Contribute to the implementation of Fraser Coast Futures 2036 and related strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

Experience in property development, economic development, urban planning, infrastructure, commercial analysis, investment facilitation, business development or local government and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders, analyse data, manage multiple priorities and navigate complex enquiries.

This role appeals to an experienced qualified who is ready to take ownership of a diverse investment attraction and facilitation portfolio. Candidates should be analytical, commercially minded and confident engaging with senior stakeholders, with initiative and judgement to manage competing priorities.
