About The Role
We are seeking a motivated Junior Data Scientist to join our growing technology and AI team. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to work with large‑scale, multimodal healthcare datasets and contribute to machine learning solutions that have a direct impact on patient outcomes and epilepsy research.

What You'll Do
- Collaborate with researchers, clinicians, and stream leads to identify machine learning opportunities.
- Prepare, clean, transform, and analyse complex datasets.
- Develop and evaluate machine learning models and analytical pipelines.
- Design and execute experiments to validate data science hypotheses.
- Support deployment and integration of data science solutions into the AEP platform.
- Monitor, maintain, and improve production machine learning models.
- Establish feedback mechanisms to measure model performance and usage.
- Contribute to documentation, quality processes, and regulatory readiness activities.
- Promote data science best practices across the organisation.
About You
You are a curious and driven data scientist who enjoys solving complex problems and working in multidisciplinary teams.
Essential Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience applying machine learning and statistical methods to real-world problems.
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Understanding of modern machine learning techniques and workflows.
- Experience working with complex datasets.
- Familiarity with cloud‑based computing environments.
- Experience using Git or similar version control systems.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare, biomedical research, or medical technology.
- Knowledge of epilepsy or neuroscience research.
- Experience with SQL and/or R.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
- Exposure to regulated environments, quality management systems, or Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) frameworks.
