Role Overview

As a Food and Beverage Attendant, you will play a key role in providing outstanding service to our customers while maintaining high standards of food safety and compliance. This dynamic role requires initiative, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence. You will be working across three venues (Alice & George, Retreat and Container Cafe) behind the counter and will need coffee skills.

Shifts range from Monday to Friday 6:30am to 4:30pm. We are looking for 3‑4 days per week for approx. 20 hours per week, depending on staff availability, with potential for more.

What You’ll Do (key responsibilities)

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

- Handle financial management and cash transactions with accuracy and integrity.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including customers, colleagues, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
- Uphold high customer service standards, delivering a memorable experience for every guest.
- Maintain flexible availability, including weekends and peak periods.

What You’ll Bring

- A proven track record in food and beverage service, preferably in high‑volume settings.
- At least one year working as a barista would be preferable.
- Proven ability to maintain high standards in a cafe or hospitality environment.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
- Thorough knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Strong multi‑tasking abilities and effective prioritization skills.
