SP Data Centres is seeking an experienced WHS Consultant to support the delivery of a major hyperscale data centre project in the Eastern Creek precinct. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside leading construction contractors on a fast-paced, high-profile project.

Operating as an independent consultant via your own ABN, you will play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture, supporting project teams, and ensuring work is carried out safely and in accordance with legislative and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide day-to-day WHS support across the construction project.
- Conduct site inspections, audits and workplace observations.
- Identify hazards and implement practical risk control measures.
- Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Review SWMS, risk assessments and permit systems.
- Monitor contractor compliance with WHS legislation and project requirements.
- Support toolbox talks, pre-start meetings and safety communications.
- Coach and mentor supervisors and subcontractors on WHS best practice.
- Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting.
- Foster a proactive, collaborative safety culture across the project.

About You





You’ll be a proactive WHS professional who is comfortable working in a complex construction environment and engaging with multiple stakeholders.

- Demonstrated experience in commercial construction, infrastructure or data centre projects.
- Strong knowledge of NSW WHS legislation and construction compliance.
- Experience conducting site inspections, audits and incident investigations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with project teams.
- Own ABN and appropriate insurances.

Highly Regarded

- Experience on hyperscale or mission-critical data centre projects.
- ICAM or equivalent incident investigation training.
