Role Summary

The Business Support Officer is an integral role within the Unit Support Team, responsible for providing support to the Senior Assistant Chief Officer (Unit Support) and delivering general administrative support and coordination to the region, specifically supporting Volunteer Units. The role includes drafting correspondence, minute taking, and managing and maintaining records in accordance with standards and guidelines in the VICSES corporate content management system. Additional functions include reception, request referral, tracking, follow‑up, and completion of administrative tasks.

Salary and Benefits

- $72,189 to $79,753 + 12% Superannuation
- Ongoing, Part Time (19 hours per week)
- Location – Bairnsdale Office

Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) is a volunteer‑based emergency service that plays a major role in Victoria's emergency response activities, including floods, storms, earthquakes, tsunamis, landslides, and supporting other agencies under the VICSES Act.



VICSES operates the largest road rescue network in Australia, provides 24/7 response to road accidents, assists Victoria Police in search and rescue operations, and supports the Country Fire Authority, Fire Rescue Victoria, Parks Victoria, and the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action during major bushfire and emergency incidents.
