The Role
We are seeking a friendly and genuine team player to join our Mount Isa branch. This is a great opportunity for someone starting a career in the finance industry or seeking a good work/life balance.
There is an opportunity for either a full-time Personal Banking Consultant or a 12-month contract as a Trainee Personal Banking Consultant. As a Personal Banking Consultant your main objective will be to provide an exceptional level of personalised service to Members, identify individual needs, solve problems, and proactively promote our products and services. If you are successful as a trainee, you will complete a Certificate III in Business as part of your traineeship at the branch.
Key duties include having quality conversations and educating Members on our products, managing basic Member enquiries and transactions, and maintaining accurate records in our systems. A positive manner, attention to detail, and eagerness to stay up to date with skills and knowledge will help you succeed in this role.
This is a full-time permanent position, working approximately 38 hours per week.
Selection Criteria
- Experience in a similar customer service position
- Demonstrated sales experience
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to change
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to quickly build rapport with people and work as a supportive team member
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience in the Finance industry (desirable)
