Forklift Driver – Afternoon and Night Shift – Broadmeadows

APG Workforce is seeking experienced Counterbalance Forklift Drivers to join a leading poultry processing facility in Melbourne's Northern Suburbs. We have Afternoon Shift and Night Shift opportunities available for reliable, safety-focused forklift operators seeking ongoing casual work within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Available Shifts

- Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm – 10:30pm (Monday to Friday; two positions currently available)
- Night Shift: 6:00pm – 2:30am (Monday to Friday)

Key Responsibilities

- Safely operate a Counterbalance Forklift within a busy poultry processing facility
- Load and unload trucks
- Transport raw materials, packaging and finished poultry products throughout the site
- Supply production lines with stock and packaging
- Complete RF scanning for accurate inventory control
- Conduct daily forklift pre-start safety inspections
- Follow all food safety, quality assurance and workplace health and safety procedures
- Assist with general warehouse duties as required
- Deliver pallets into freezer areas for the freezer operator to store
- Operate a Reach Forklift when required (advantageous but not essential)

Afternoon Shift Duties

- Complete receivals and dispatch paperwork
- Perform Quality Control (QC) checks, including temperature monitoring
- Support warehouse operations during peak production periods

Night Shift Duties

- Work independently as part of a smaller team after 10:30pm
- Prioritise workloads and multitask with minimal supervision




- Demonstrate initiative and solid problem-solving skills to keep warehouse operations running efficiently

To Be Successful You Will Have

- Current LF Forklift Licence held for a minimum of two (2) years
- Proven Counterbalance Forklift experience in warehousing, logistics, manufacturing or food production
- Previous experience within poultry processing, food manufacturing or cold storage is highly regarded
- Reach Forklift experience is advantageous but not essential
- Experience using RF scanners
- Experience completing receival and dispatch documentation (Afternoon Shift preferred)
- Understanding of quality control procedures, including temperature checks (Afternoon Shift preferred)
- Ability to work in chilled and freezer environments
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and food hygiene
- Reliable transport with excellent attendance and punctuality
- Two recent, valid and contactable work references
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
- Full Australian working rights
