About the Role
As the Schools Officer - Grounds and Facilities you will contribute to the efficient and effective operation and setting of the school by providing a high level of grounds and facilities support to the Principal, Business Manager or nominated delegate.
- Maintain and improve school grounds, gardens, sporting facilities and outdoor spaces to a high standard.
- Coordinate and undertake general maintenance and minor repairs to school buildings, facilities, equipment and infrastructure.
- Support the day‑to‑day operations of the school, including event setup, mail services, stock control and asset management.
- Monitor workplace health and safety, identify hazards and ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Operate and maintain school security systems, including locking and unlocking buildings and reporting security issues.
- Liaise with school staff, contractors and suppliers to coordinate maintenance, repairs and grounds improvement projects.
- Maintain tools, equipment and maintenance records, and assist with purchasing and budget‑related activities where required.
