Situated approximately 130km south of Charters Towers, this well-established cattle enterprise operates across approximately 900,000 acres and runs a large-scale breeder and backgrounding program. With an experienced station team already in place, the business has a strong focus on livestock production, animal welfare and operational excellence.

Reporting directly to station management, this position is suited to an experienced Station Hand ready to step into a leadership role, or an existing Head Stockman looking for their next chance. The successful candidate will combine practical livestock skills with strong leadership, communication and organisational abilities. An immediate start is available for the right person.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

- Lead, supervise and mentor the station hand team while coordinating daily livestock operations.




- Plan and coordinate musters using horses, motorbikes and buggies, along with yard work, weaner feeding and stock health activities.
- Monitor and maintain water points, supplementary feeding programs, fencing, machinery, vehicles and general station infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate records relating to stock movements, livestock treatments and operational activities while ensuring WHS compliance.

Selection Criteria:

- Proven livestock handling experience with the ability to confidently manage cattle in a calm and patient manner.
- Demonstrated leadership capability, with previous experience as a senior or experienced Station Hand highly regarded.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to supervise, mentor and work effectively with others.
- Ability to work independently, maintain high animal welfare standards and hold a current driver's licence with reliable transport.
