- Help build a new People Advisory Hub with the ambition to become sector leading
- Full-time, ongoing position based at our Hawthorn campus
- HEW 8 salary + 17% super, hybrid and flexible working environment

About The Role

This is not a standard advisory role. It is an opportunity to help build a new People Advisory Hub that responds earlier, manages complexity better and sets a higher standard for practical, people-centred and risk-aware advisory support.

As a Senior People & Culture Advisor, you will be close to the work that matters: employee concerns, early-stage complaints, interpersonal conflict, performance and conduct matters, policy and Enterprise Agreement interpretation, and sensitive workplace risks. You will bring structure where it is needed, judgement where the answer is not obvious, and momentum where problems need to be solved quickly and well.

Working closely with the Manager, People Advisory, you will act as a multi-skilled case worker and trusted advisor, able to assess risk, make linkages across policy, systems, people experience and workplace safety, and help managers and employees navigate issues before they become entrenched.

The right person will be smart, practical and quick-thinking. You will be comfortable getting close to the detail, fixing what is not working, and helping turn good intent into transparent, repeatable ways of working. You will also contribute to complex and meaningful work in areas such as gender-based violence, family violence and psychosocial risk, using trauma-informed practice and approved frameworks to support safe, consistent and dignified outcomes.

About You

- Manage end-to-end casework across employee concerns, early-stage complaints, interpersonal conflict, grievances, performance and conduct matters.
- Develop practical case plans, resolution strategies and pathways that are fair, timely and risk-informed.
- Provide clear, confidential and consistent advice to employees and managers, including on policy and Enterprise Agreement provisions.
- Identify patterns,

risks and points of friction, and help improve how advisory services work in practice.
- Undertake structured case-level risk screening, including psychosocial risks, employee relations risks and workplace safety concerns.
- Conduct specialist GBV risk assessments using approved frameworks, tools and evidence-based practices.
- Assess immediate and ongoing safety risks, including patterns of behaviour, coercive control, escalation indicators and cumulative harm.
- Coordinate effectively across Workplace Relations, HSW / Injury Management, Business Partners and P&C; Assist to connect the dots and solve problems well.

For more information please refer to the job description.

Qualifications

- A degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Comprehensive Risk Assessment training (e.g. MARAM) or the ability to obtain.
