We have an exciting prospect for a Receipting & Allocation Officer to join our Credit team within our national Finance team.
Responsibilities
- Managing receipting for firm accounts
- Processing client credit card payments
- Resolving client payment queries
- Managing and rectifying unidentified deposits
- Preparing documentation for refunds of duplicate or incorrect payments
- Acting as backup to the Credit Officers and assisting with debtor collections nationally, including collections via calls and email
- Ad hoc duties as required from time to time
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in accounts receipting or payment processing, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment (experience with Aderant highly desirable)
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Demonstrated experience managing high‑volume transactions (up to approximately 250 per day) in a predominantly manual processing environment
- Proven ability to review, reconcile, and clean up historical or legacy transactions
- Experience contributing to process improvement initiatives and identifying operational efficiencies
- Strong attention to detail
- Proactive problem‑solving skills with a solution‑focused approach
- Ability to work autonomously while also collaborating effectively within a team
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage competing deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
