Role Description

The Batching and Blending Operative is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Sydney, NSW. This position is responsible for accurately weighing, measuring, and batching ingredients according to product specifications and production schedules. The operative sets up and operates blending equipment, monitors mixing processes, and ensures that all blends meet defined quality, safety, and food hygiene standards. Daily tasks include following recipes and work orders, completing production records, labeling and handling finished product,



and maintaining a clean and orderly work area. The role works closely with production, quality, and warehouse teams to support efficient workflow, safe operations, and on‑time delivery to customers.

Qualifications

- Experience in food manufacturing, batching, or blending operations, with an understanding of recipes, ingredient handling, and production processes.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and quality standards (e.g., HACCP), and ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
- Basic numerical and measurement skills for weighing, counting, and recording ingredient quantities with accuracy.
- Ability to operate and monitor production and blending equipment, including basic troubleshooting and routine checks.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to consistent product quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with production, quality, and logistics teams.
- Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast‑paced production workplace.
- Previous experience in foodservice, ingredients, or FMCG manufacturing is advantageous; relevant vocational training or certifications in food processing or similar fields are beneficial.
