A full time, permanent Scheme Support Officer in a short term Supported Accommodation scheme in Barry. Work on a rolling rota which includes days, evenings, weekend availability and sleep‑in shifts that are paid at £62.64 per sleep‑in.

About The Role

This is a Scheme Support Officer role based in our Supported Accommodation service, Barry Offenders, in Barry. We have a team of Scheme Support Officers and Project Workers providing 24/7 support to our customers who have been involved in the criminal justice service. You will support individuals to develop the skills required to settle in the community and achieve positive progression.

Day to Day Duties

- Assist the Project Workers and individuals in creating and implementing realistic goals.
- Motivate and inspire customers to make positive changes.




- Engage and interact with customers through meaningful activities.
- Develop networking skills by working in partnership with external agencies.

Skills And Experience Needed

Relevant work experience and knowledge of issues relating to vulnerable people is essential.

- A passion to work with and enable people to live as independently as possible.
- An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people’s lives.
- A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player.
- Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations.
