Viva Leisure parent company to GROUNDUP one of Australia’sleading fitness companies are looking for new Group FitnessInstructors to join our beautiful studios across Canberra!

This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver high-qualitygroup fitness classes that inspire and engage our members. At VivaLeisure, we pride ourselves on creating positive member experiencesdriven by passion, growth, and exceptional service. In addition todelivering dynamic and safe classes, instructors are expected toactively contribute to increasing class participation.

We are on a look out for teachers inReformerPilates andBarre. As a Teacher, you will beresponsible for leading scheduled classes at designated facilities.Reporting to the Studio Leader, you will ensure each session issafe, energetic, and enjoyable, helping members achieve theirfitness goals in a supportive environment.

Opportunities with a flexible working schedule are availableacross our five Canberra studios, located in Dickson, Braddon(brand new), Belconnen, Gungahlin, and Yarralumla.

SKILLS &QUALIFICATIONS;

We are looking for someone with:

- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness toobtain)
- Certificate III in Fitness or Group Exercise Leader (GEL)Certification
- Strong knowledge and passion for the fitness industry
- Understanding of fitness training methods, exerciseprinciples, and relevant technologies
- Skilled in applying first aid procedure
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and promote safetyprocedures
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills, with theability to engage and build rapport with diverse members
- Compassionate, organised, and capable of guiding members ina safe and friendly setting
- Excellent multitasking abilities to manage memberinteractions and class delivery effectively
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and well-equippedfacility

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead and take ownership of group fitness class performance,ensuring high attendance and positive member feedback
- Deliver engaging, safe,



and effective classes, includingsetup and pack down of equipment
- Provide exceptional member service by addressing questions,offering support, and promoting club services
- Role model Viva Leisure values, maintaining high standardsof professionalism and conduct
- Monitor and correct participant technique, ensuring safeand effective movement patterns
- Collaborate with the broader team to foster a positive andinclusive club environment
- Maintain up-to-date certifications and adhere to allrelevant policies, including Work Health & Safety
- Report equipment faults and incidents promptly, ensuring asafe and well-maintained environment
- Promote group fitness participation and uphold class rulesand standards
