Campground hosts are a welcoming face in a campground, enjoy the outdoors and have a reasonable level of fitness and are self-sufficient with their own caravan, campervan or tent.
The role
A volunteer campground host ensures the smooth running of the campground and associated facilities. The duties include:
- Greeting visitors
- Providing park information
- Being a point of contact in emergencies
- Cleaning campground facilities as required
Hosts are not responsible for ensuring that visitors comply with park rules. Host parks include Litchfield NP, Elsey NP, Keep River NP, Judbarra NP, Karlu Karlu CR, Finke Gorge NP and Trephina Gorge NP.
Required qualifications
To qualify as a host you must:
- Be physically active
- Hold current first‑aid qualifications
- Hold a national police check
