The Olympic and Paralympic Games (the Games) are the world’s largest and most prestigious sporting event. In 2032, Queensland will welcome the world, and Brisbane 2032 is building the team that will plan, organise, finance and deliver a Games of global significance.

The CEO of the Brisbane 2032 Organising Committee is seeking to appoint a critical member of the Executive team: the Chief Games Delivery Officer (CGDO). This defining leadership role will oversee Games planning, operational readiness and delivery, on schedule and on budget, with athletes at the heart.

Working closely with the CEO, President, Executive team, IOC, IPC, government, and delivery partners, the CGDO will lead Games operations across the full cycle, including:

Games delivery planning and venue design;

the transition from functional planning to venue-aligned delivery;

budget, revenue and cost considerations;

building a high-performing team through growth, transition and delivery; and

Games-time operations.





The successful candidate will bring significant mega-event experience, ideally gained in a major Games or comparable global event workplace. They will have led large-scale, complex operational planning and delivery, worked effectively at C-suite level, and influenced diverse stakeholders across a complex delivery ecosystem.

A strategic and operational leader, the CGDO will be commercially astute, resilient, emotionally intelligent and highly organised. They will bring energy, judgement, creativity and communication impact, and the ability to turn complex planning into exceptional delivery.
