About the Role
We are seeking a near or newly qualified Chartered Accountant to join a high‑performing team that delivers statutory financial reporting and audit readiness solutions to large, diverse clients. This role focuses on sectors such as Financial Services, Construction, Automotive Dealerships, Energy and Healthcare, and will support our clients through critical reporting seasons.
Responsibilities
- Support the audit process for large proprietary and listed companies, providing documentation and explanations of financial transactions and reporting practices.
- Complete planning schedules, detailed timelines and engagement planning.
- Analyze and document potential audit and accounting issues, working with the manager to resolve them.
- Collect relevant financial information from internal and external sources.
- Prepare workpapers to support year‑end delivery, ensuring transactions are properly documented and evidence‑based.
- Prepare financial reports that comply with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Present financial reports to stakeholders in a clear, understandable manner.
- Meet or exceed promised delivery timeframes and maintain service quality at all times.
- Continuously review and improve financial reporting processes and systems to enhance accuracy, efficiency and effectiveness.
Skills and Attributes
- Sound understanding of accounting principles,
regulations and standards, including tax‑effect accounting.
- Strong analytical skills for dissecting financial data.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and spreadsheets for financial analysis.
- Excellent numerical abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines with managerial support.
- Ethical integrity and professionalism.
- Leadership capabilities to mentor and guide junior staff.
- Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with industry trends and regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience preparing complex financial reports and applying accounting standards.
- CA qualified or near CA qualified (or overseas equivalent).
- Audit experience strongly preferred; otherwise, familiarity with the audit process from the preparer side is essential.
