Senior Mental Health Clinician Recovery Stream (OT3, SW3, P3, RPN4)) - Part Time - Ongoing - 0.9EFT

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our six main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

About Mental Health Division:

Northern Health is the third largest mental health service in Victoria Northern.

Within the Mental Health Division, we pride ourselves on providing high quality mental health services to people living in the northern regions of Melbourne, and work in a collaborative way with consumers and carers based on recovery principles.

We aim to provide strong clinical leadership to support all staff in the provision of professional treatment and care by our integrated community teams, inpatient, and residential services.

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic senior clinician, to join the team at Northern Health.

Hotham Street Community Team is now seeking expressions of interest for all who would like to progress their career as a Senior Mental Health Clinician in the Recovery Stream and become a pivotal part in the future of Mental Health.

To be successful in this role you will have the ability to:

- Deliver evidenced based assessments and in the person's own community.

- Work as a key clinician with a reduced caseload of complex consumers and their families/cares to promote mental health and wellbeing.

- Provide professional supervision and support to occupational therapy staff and students.

Your Contribution:

- Experienced in the use of evidence based interventions to support individual's process of recovery.

- A team player who is eager to learn from and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.

- Experienced in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of severe mental illness and psychiatric disability.

- Capacity to undertake alcohol and other drug screening, assessment, treatment planning, brief interventions with clients who have a co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.





- Commitment to ongoing professional development for self and for team members.

- A current Victorian Driver's License, and ongoing ability to use this form of transport.
