We’re currently on the lookout for a reliable and experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a well-established and energetic manufacturing team.

Location: Tennyson, QLD
Pay: ~$53/hr + OT
Hours: 38 hr/week rotating roster + 1 weekend on-call/month

Shifts (rotating weekly):
Week A: Mon–Thurs 4am–12pm, Fri 4am–10am
Week B: Mon–Thurs 12pm–8pm, Fri 10am–4pm

About the Role
We’re seeking a hands-on Maintenance Fitter to join our team at a busy flour milling site. You’ll be responsible for maintaining plant equipment, responding to breakdowns, and driving improvements in reliability, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities




Perform routine and emergency maintenance across mechanical and electrical systems
Troubleshoot and repair plant and services equipment (e.g. pneumatics, hydraulics, PLCs, refrigeration, compressed air)
Conduct risk assessments and follow safety and food safety standards (HACCP)
Support continuous improvement projects and reduce downtime and waste
Maintain accurate records. (While prior system knowledge is a bonus, everything can be taught with on-site training.)
Assist with installations, upgrades, and contractor management
Mentor apprentices and support team knowledge-sharing

What We’re Looking For
Trade-qualified Fitter
Restricted electrical licence and forklift ticket (ideal but not required)
Solid problem-solving skills and initiative
Experience in a food manufacturing or milling environment preferred
