headspace is Australia's National Youth Mental Health Foundation, providing services across Australia, in metropolitan, regional, rural and remote areas, supporting young people and family to be mentally healthy and engaged in their communities.
This role sits within the Enhanced headspace Service (EhS) utilising a unique dual-worker model, working alongside the Youth & Family Care Coordinator to support young people facing moderate-to-severe mental health challenges and delivering quality care to every young person you work with.
EhS combines expert psychological support with practical, real-world guidance focusing on helping young people build skills, strengthen wellbeing, and stay connected.
With flexible, personalised care, including outreach and in-centre support, EhS meets young people where they are, empowering them to achieve meaningful, lasting outcomes.
As a Mental Health Clinician, you'll collaborate with the Clinical Lead, providing individualised, evidence based interventions for young people requiring up to 12 months of counselling support.
You'll conduct clinical and risk assessments, implement treatment and management plans and work closely with internal and external stakeholders within the community to deliver holistic recovery orientated care.
About You
Experienced in assessing, diagnosing, and providing evidence-based treatments for mental health disorders.
Extensive experience fostering mental health and well-being, delivering inclusive therapeutic services with a recovery and strengths-based focus.
Experienced in conducting risk assessments, crisis intervention planning, and implementing effective risk management strategies for consumers.
Experience implementing time limited counselling/ psychological intervention for an episode of care reflecting 6-12 months support.
Knowledge of the mental health system, government policies, legislation, and professional standards.

Requirements
Minimum two years experience as a Mental Health Clinician
Tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, OT, or related field
AHPRA or AASW Registration
Current Driver Licence
Current Blue Card
Current National Police Check.
Knowledge of mental health systems, legislation, and standards
Experience in assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment
