Seeking a bright and passionate General Practice Nurse/GP Assist to join our dedicated and friendly team. We are a fully accredited, long established, busy, multi-site General Practice in the western suburbs who actively promote a family friendly supportive work environment and are committed to providing quality healthcare to our patients. The successful candidate will initially be employed on a casual basis with a view to permanent and/or full time, part-time employment subject to practice requirements.
Role:
Enrolled/Registered nurse with 12+ months experience and current nurse registration with AHPRA
GP Assist (previous nursing and medical reception experience or equivalent certification)
Dedication to providing high quality nursing care and clinical support to patients and practitioners
Competency in all general nursing duties, including wound management, immunisations, assistance with minor procedure, ECG's
Knowledge of Infection Control and Cold Chain Management Procedures
Must be able to follow existing Practice Policies and Procedures to meet Accreditation Standards
Proven multi-tasking,



problem solving and time management skills in a workplace setting with fluctuating levels of demand
Ability to work autonomously, prioritise workloads as well as being a supportive team member
Previous experience with Chronic Conditions Management (Care Plans) and Health Assessments, is highly desirable but not essential
Demonstrate proficient IT skills to effectively manage patient records, appointments etc.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong organisational ability
Reliable transport as some travel may be required between sites
Flexible work hours and availability at short notice to cover leave may be required
Zedmed medical software knowledge preferable, however not essential
