Casual Shopping Centre Security Officer – Shellharbour, NSW
Kickstart or continue your career in security with a nationally trusted provider. We're seeking reliable, well-presented, and customer-focused Security Officers to join our team at a busy retail shopping centre in Shellharbour.
This is a
casual roving role
with genuine opportunities to transition into a
permanent full-time position
for the right candidate.
About the Role
As a Shopping Centre Security Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for retailers, staff, and customers. This is a dynamic roving position suited to individuals who enjoy being visible, proactive, and engaging.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting regular foot patrols throughout the shopping centre
Providing a strong customer service presence and assisting members of the public
Monitoring and responding to incidents, hazards, and emergencies
Liaising with centre management, retailers, and emergency services when required




Completing accurate incident and daily reports
Ensuring centre rules, procedures, and safety protocols are followed
What We're Looking For
We're looking for motivated individuals who demonstrate:
Strong customer service skills with a skilled and approachable manner
Clear and confident
written and verbal communication skills
Ability to remain calm and effective in fast-paced or challenging situations
Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
Previous security or retail security experience (highly regarded but not essential)
Requirements
You must have:
Valid NSW Security Licence
First Aid Certificate
Ability to pass Drug & Alcohol screening
Full Australian working rights
Master Licence Number: *********
