Unlock Your Potential with Us As a Chemical Attendant at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you'll work closely with the Laboratory team and Operations Engineer to monitor, troubleshoot and adjust the chemical dosing systems used onsite. You will also work in conjunction with the Evaporator Operator to monitor and take corrective action to maintain the starch enzyme (Amylase) and evaporator anti‐scale dosing systems. In addition, you will undertake general labouring duties to support site operations and maintenance activities, contributing to the safe and efficient operation of the factory. Initially based at Macknade Mill, Ingham offers a laid‐back lifestyle, with stunning island beaches and exciting outdoor adventures right at your doorstep. Whether you're into fishing and boating, hiking, or just chilling by the beach, the Herbert Region has it all waiting for you. This is a seasonal position involving day work and may require some weekend work and overtime.
Your Role in Action
Chemical Caretaker: Perform chemical stocktakes and safely move chemicals around the mill.
Data Detective: Assist operators in regular sampling of mill products for laboratory analysis.
Clean‐Up Crew: Assist with chemical cleaning and other cleaning as directed.
Conquer the Mill Maze: Carry out general surveillance of factory areas. Provide clear, regular and accurate feedback to mill management on factory issues.
Safety Star: Lead by example in health & safety, ensuring every task is done with care and caution.
