About the role:
The Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU) Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) fulfils the roles and responsibilities of the Registered Nurse, demonstrating expert knowledge and skills while assuming a prominent management focus in the PACU.
The ANUM is an integral member of the Perioperative Service Precinct (PSP) management team, assisting the Nurse Unit Manager in the course of their duties to ensure provision of nursing care that is excellent in quality and consistently consumer centred while achieving effective operational management of the clinical environment.
Key responsibilities:
Floor coordination within the PACU ensuring effective patient flow and allocation of resources
Providing clinical guidance and leadership to the PACU cohort of staff
Functioning within the existing management team and support of the Nurse Unit Manager
About you:
Minimum 5 years relevant clinical experience within PACU
Experience in leadership and resource management
Adaptability, resourcefulness and an innovative approach
Post Graduate qualification or working towards
