We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Casual Facilities Team Leader to support the efficient day-to-day operation of our facilities, kitchen, and events services.
In this role, you will help maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational excellence while supporting a positive experience for both guests and team members.
Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:
Financial Returns
Work flexibly in line with operational and business requirements
Assist with monthly inspections and facility audits
Identify and support cost-saving initiatives and efficient resource management
People
Support chefs with food preparation and general kitchen duties as required
Assist with the receiving, storage, and organisation of goods and supplies
Demonstrate the safe and correct use of chemicals and provide guidance to other departments when needed
Foster positive working relationships across departments and contribute to a collaborative team environment
Guest Experience
Ensure all crockery, cutlery, kitchen equipment, and service items are cleaned and maintained in accordance with HACCP standards
Provide assistance to guests and internal customers when required
Support the setup and smooth operation of events and functions
Responsible Business
Partner with management to promote workplace health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives
Participate in workplace inspections and support investigations into incidents, injuries, and near misses
Recommend corrective actions to minimise future risks and improve safety outcomes
Promptly report workplace hazards and support the implementation of corrective measures
Wear, maintain, and correctly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
Safely operate equipment, tools, materials, and substances in accordance with workplace procedures
Report workplace injuries, illnesses, hazards, and safety concerns to management
What We Need From You
Previous experience in facilities, stewarding, kitchen operations, hospitality,



or a similar role is highly regarded
Sound knowledge of HACCP guidelines and food safety practices
Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements, including the correct use of PPE
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
A proactive approach with a strong focus on safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence
Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
