About the role
The South African Shop is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic employee to join our team on a
part-time basis
at our Burleigh Heads location.
This role is central to our mission of delivering authentic products.
As a biltong manufactorer, you will be responsible for preparing, hanging, and packing up boxes to send around Australia.
This position offers the perfect opportunity to be part of a vibrant hospitality and business that celebrates biltong for all.
ItItss a non customer facing role.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and hang Biltong into their dryers.
Maintain hygiene and food safety standards in all preparation areas
Package jerky products attractively and ensure proper labelling
Maintain a clean and organised space
Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock rotation and replenishment
Comply with all food handling regulations and company policies
What we're looking for
Previous experience in food preparation, retail, or hospitality is preferred
Food handling certification or willingness to obtain one
Ability to work independently and as part of a team




Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation
Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions
Flexibility to work part-time hours including weekends
