Light Vehicle Mechanic – Servicing, Brakes & SuspensionLight Vehicle Mechanic – Automotive Servicing, Brakes & SuspensionRichards Tyrepower – Osborne Park, WAFull-time | Up to $50 per hour + Super (depending on experience)About Richards TyrepowerRichards Tyrepower is one of Perth's leading independent tyre and mechanical workshops, with a strong reputation for quality workmanship and customer service.As our mechanical department continues to grow, we're seeking an experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic to lead our Osborne Park mechanical workshop.This is a genuine mechanical role with a strong focus on servicing, brakes, steering, suspension, tyres and wheel alignments.You'll Be DoingMinor, major and logbook servicingVehicle inspections and fault diagnosisBrake, steering and suspension repairsDiagnosing and replacing mechanical componentsAssisting with tyre fitting, wheel balancing and wheel alignments as required when not undertaking mechanical workMaintaining a safe, clean and organised workshopWhat We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who:Has proven experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic in AustraliaHas strong experience servicing and repairing a wide range of light vehicles, particularly with experience working on European and South-East Asian vehicle brandsIs confident following manufacturer servicing schedules, repair procedures and specificationsHas strong servicing, brake, steering and suspension skillsCan accurately diagnose mechanical faults and recommend the correct repairWorks safely,



efficiently and independentlyIs competent using hoists, workshop equipment and manufacturer workshop informationTakes pride in producing quality workmanship and excellent customer serviceHolds a current manual driver's licenceExperience gained in a dealership, independent mechanical workshop, tyre and suspension workshop or rapid-service environment will be highly regarded.Leadership ResponsibilitiesThis position will lead the day-to-day operation of our mechanical workshops.As the department continues to grow, you will assist with mentoring apprentice mechanics, maintaining workshop standards and supporting the ongoing development of the mechanical team.QualificationsRecognised Australian Light Vehicle Cert III Mechanical qualification preferredMTA WA apprenticeship or qualification highly regardedWA Motor Vehicle Repairer's Certificate is advantageousPlease note: Applicants whose only qualification is a standalone Certificate III or Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis, without genuine hands-on servicing and mechanical repair experience, will not be considered.Recruitment ProcessSuccessful applicants will be invited to attend an interview, followed by a supervised practical workshop assessment.What We OfferUp to $50 per hour + Super, depending on experienceFull-time, permanent positionModern workshop and quality equipmentOngoing training and developmentStaff discountsOpportunity to grow with our business
