Airport Reporting & Works Safety Officer (ARO/WSO)

Perth Airport (and/or) Regional Airport

Casual | Opportunity for FIFO – 1 week on / 1 week off
Roster:
24-hour rotating shifts (day & night)
Pay:
$50 per hour

RAMS is seeking experienced Airport Reporting & Works Safety Officers to join our team.
This role will primarily be based at Perth Airport, however there is opportunity to do FIFO work at other regional airports across WA if requested.
As an Airport Reporting & Works Safety Officer, you will undertake duties in line with Part 139 (Aerodromes) Manual of Standards (MOS) to ensure compliance with Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) regulations, Aviation Transport Security requirements, Airport Authority protocols, and Occupational Safety and Health legislation.
As FIFO work is available,
it suits off-swing workers or someone looking for work life balance.
Competitive hourly rates are offered.
Holding an ADA at Perth Airport or DCAC at RAAF Pearce is desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Perform duties of an Airport Reporting Officer & Works Safety Officer.
Exercise a high degree of competency in air band radio usage relevant to aerodrome radio communications.
Follow designated airport operating procedures and client contract requirements.
Any other duties as prescribed in the designated airports operating procedures and client contract.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
3–5 years in an aviation environment.
Knowledge of airside pavements, drainage, and lighting system maintenance.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Relevant ARO/WSO qualification.
Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate (AROC).
Ability to maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
Valid vehicle licence for airport equipment operation.
Valid work rights in Australia (citizen or visa).
Documentation required.
