The business operates across several areas of the insurance value chain, with a solid focus on client money handling, regulatory compliance, and operational governance.Trust accounting is a core part of the business, covering premium flows, trust monies, insurer settlements, and transactional finance activity across multiple entities.
This creates a solid focus on trust governance, regulatory compliance, reconciliation integrity, cash management, and operational controls.The organisation is investing heavily in finance transformation, process optimisation, technology, and shared services capability as it scales.
This role plays a key part in that journey, leading the trust accounting function while driving process standardisation, automation, and continuous improvement across transactional finance operations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the Group's trust accounting function across multiple entities and jurisdictions, including receipts, payments, journals and reconciliationsOwn daily/weekly/monthly reconciliations, exception management, and monitoring of trust balances,
cash movements and liquidityEnsure segregation and safeguarding of client monies in line with regulatory obligations, and act as escalation point for trust compliance issuesMaintain internal controls, coordinate audits, and manage breach identification, investigation and remediationLead and develop onshore and offshore transactional finance teams, partnering with compliance, procurement and technology stakeholdersDrive process improvement, automation and finance transformation initiatives, including ERP and workflow platform optimisationDeliver operational reporting and insights to senior managementKey Requirements5–12+ years in trust accounting or transactional finance leadershipStrong grasp of trust accounting principles and financial controlsExperience leading high-volume, centralised accounts payable functionsProven people leadership and team managementStrong reconciliation, analytical and problem-solving skillsERP and financial workflow platform experience; advanced ExcelInsurance, financial services or other regulated-industry background desirable
