About the role:
The successful applicant will deliver practical, engaging and compliant training to individuals and workplace groups across Adelaide.
Training will be delivered at our Adelaide training premises or at client workplaces, depending on course requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Delivering First Aid, CPR and Manual Handling training
• Conducting practical demonstrations and assessments
• Providing transparent instructions and constructive student feedback
• Ensuring assessment decisions are fair, valid and consistent
• Maintaining accurate attendance, assessment and student records
• Ensuring training equipment and resources are prepared and used safely
• Participating in assessment validation and professional development activities
• Maintaining current industry knowledge and vocational competence
• Complying with Optimum Training Academy's policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
Essential requirements:
Applicants must have:
• TAE Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, TAE, or another recognised training and assessment credential
• Current vocational competence in the courses or units being delivered
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Relevant qualifications or demonstrated industry competence in manual handling training, where applicable
• Recent experience delivering training in a workplace or RTO setting
• Strong presentation, communication and classroom-management skills
• Confidence delivering both theory and practical demonstrations
• The ability to complete accurate student and assessment documentation
• Current working rights in Australia
• A satisfactory National Police Clearance
Relevant worker screening clearances may also be required depending on the learner group and training workplace.
Desirable experience:
Preference may be given to applicants with:
• Experience in disability, aged care, health care or community services
• Clinical, nursing, allied health or emergency-response experience
• Experience delivering training to support workers and care-sector employees
• Experience delivering training to culturally and linguistically diverse learners
• Experience using learning management systems and electronic student records
• Availability to deliver weekday, evening or occasional weekend sessions
