We offer flexible work arrangements including work from home and also part time work.Role Description This role could be that of either a Senior Associate or Special Counsel depending on your experience.
You will provide advanced legal advice, manage complex matters, and oversee files from initial instruction through to resolution.
Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and reviewing legal documents, appearing in negotiations and, where appropriate, court or tribunal proceedings, and advising clients on strategy and risk.
The role involves mentoring and supervising junior lawyers,



coordinating with colleagues on multi-faceted matters, and contributing to business development and client relationship management.
This is a full time position which can be based in either our Sydney or Newcastle offices.QualificationsAdmission as a solicitor in an Australian jurisdiction and eligibility to hold a current practicing certificate.A minimum of 5 years post-admission experience in a relevant practice area (e.g., strata and community title or building and construction law) with both an advisory and litigation focus.Strong skills in legal research, drafting, and analysis, with the ability to manage complex files (including litigation files) independently.Demonstrated capability in client relationship management, including explicit communication, expectation setting, and delivering timely advice.Experience mentoring and supervising junior lawyers or support staff, with a collaborative, inclusive leadership style.High level of professional ethics, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality client service.Ability to work effectively with a range of people.
