Store Manager - Burrum Heads IGA (New Store Opening)

O'Connell Retail Group is seeking an enthusiastic and driven retail leader to become the inaugural Store Manager of our brand-new Burrum Heads IGA , scheduled to open in December 2026 .

This is a rare opportunity to lead a new store from the ground up, establish a positive team culture, and help create a supermarket that becomes an important part of the local community.

About the Role

As Store Manager, you will play a key role in the lead-up to opening and be responsible for:

Recruiting, training and developing your team

Leading all day‑to‑day store operations

Driving sales growth and profitability

Managing labour, inventory and store standards

Delivering exceptional customer service

Maintaining merchandising and presentation standards

Building strong community relationships

Creating a positive and high‑performing workplace culture

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a hands‑on leader who has:





Previous supermarket or retail management experience

Strong leadership and team development skills

Excellent communication and organisational abilities

A passion for customer service and community retailing

Experience managing store performance and key business metrics

A positive attitude and willingness to lead by example

Experience within IGA, Woolworths, Coles, Aldi, FoodWorks or similar retail environments will be highly regarded.
