We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Officer to join our growing team in Mareeba, Queensland and in Sydney NSW.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced care professional looking to build a rewarding career in Australia.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide high-quality, person-centered support to NDIS participants in residential and supported accommodation settings.
- Assist participants with activities of daily living, including personal care, grooming, dressing, mobility, and meal preparation.
- Promote participants; independence, dignity, and social inclusion.
- Develop positive relationships with participants, families, guardians, and allied health professionals.
- Support participants in achieving goals outlined in their individual support plans.
- Administer or assist with medication in accordance with organisational policies and training.
- Maintain accurate documentation, incident reports, and progress notes.
- Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, organisational policies, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and behavioural support needs.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Essential Requirements





- Completed at least a Diploma OR an overseas bachelor degree preferably in Nursing, OR at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in disability support, residential care, or community services.
- Willing to relocate to Mareeba QLD 4880
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, sleepovers, public holidays, and overnight shifts.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or ability to obtain).
- Good character – required to submit Police Clearance Certificate
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable

- Experience supporting participants with complex behaviours, psychosocial disability, or high-intensity support needs.
- Knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards and Positive Behaviour Support.
- Medication competency and manual handling training.
