Are you available to be an Italian-speaking volunteer? Just 1 hour per week is all that we ask....

We’re looking for a kind and compassionate volunteer to spend time with an Italian-speaking client who is living at home.

Our client enjoys reminiscing about past travel experiences, has an interest in engineering, and takes outstanding pride in their cultural heritage.

Visits would be simple and relaxed — reading aloud, looking through travel books together, or listening to music. Most importantly, it’s about providing companionship and sharing some friendly conversation.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements

- 18 years or older
- National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare

One hour visits for 6 months or longer between 9am and 5pm Monday to Sunday.
