About Our Client
An exciting opportunity exists for a commercially minded Management Accountant to join a leading industrial and manufacturing business based in Sydney's Southwest. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role sits at the intersection of finance and operations, providing critical insights to support commercial decision‑making, profitability improvement, pricing strategy, and business performance.
Job Description
- Deliver timely and accurate management reporting and KPI analysis
- Analyse key business drivers including sales performance, margins, price‑volume mix, labour, freight, inventory and material variances
- Support budgeting, forecasting and month‑end processes
- Conduct detailed customer and product profitability analysis
- Partner with Sales teams to develop and review pricing strategies
- Manage and maintain pricing structures within SAP
- Monitor inventory performance, stock provisions and slow‑moving stock analysis
- Maintain customer rebate reporting and commercial performance reporting
- Provide recommendations and insights to improve business profitability and operational performance
The Successful Applicant
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- CPA/CA qualified or studying towards completion
- 5+ years' experience in Management Accounting, Commercial Finance or Business Analysis
- Experience within manufacturing, industrial, distribution or product‑based environments
- Strong SAP experience
- Advanced Excel skills, Power Query exposure highly regarded
- Strong stakeholder management and business partnering capabilities
