OUR TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT REGISTER

The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) invites you to express your interest in the Temporary Employment Register for potential opportunities across various classifications, business areas, and locations throughout Australia.

Non-ongoing roles may be offered for an initial period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of a single extension of up to 6 months, for a maximum contract duration of 18 months.

Eligibility

- Under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the Australian Public Service (APS).
- Any successful candidate external to DVA offered employment will be required to undergo pre-engagement screening checks, including those who already hold a current security clearance. The screening checks are conducted in accordance with the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework requirements.
- Any successful candidate will also be required to obtain and/or maintain, a baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance as a minimum.
