Responsibilities

As a Senior Cost Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing cost management across the entire lifecycle of major data centre construction projects. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Leading cost planning, estimating, and budgeting from the design phase through to project completion.
- Managing cost reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis across multiple project packages.
- Overseeing tendering, procurement, and contract administration in alignment with the project’s commercial strategy.
- Reviewing and negotiating variations, claims, and contractor payment applications.
- Providing accurate and timely cost advice to project leadership to support critical decision-making.
- Identifying and managing commercial risks throughout the construction phase.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
- Supporting the development and implementation of cost management processes and best practices across the portfolio.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will bring:

- A degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in cost management within the construction industry, ideally in data centres, mission‑critical facilities, industrial,



or other complex technical building projects.
- A solid understanding of construction contracts and commercial risk management.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and contractors.
- The ability to manage competing priorities across fast‑paced, high‑value projects.
- A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset and a genuine interest in the digital infrastructure sector.

Day-to‑Day

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Collaborating with project directors and construction teams to ensure projects are delivered on budget.
- Preparing and presenting cost reports and forecasts to stakeholders.
- Managing procurement processes and ensuring compliance with commercial strategies.
