Community Worker Experience – Domestic and Family Violence

Experienced community worker with a strong commitment to supporting women, children, and companion animals experiencing domestic and family violence through trauma-informed, culturally safe, and psychosocial approaches to care. Skilled in building trusting relationships with individuals and families from diverse cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, recognising the profound impact that trauma, coercive control, and social disadvantage have on health, wellbeing, and recovery. Understanding of legalise is significant and high skills in English and grammar please.

Demonstrated experience in undertaking holistic, strengths-based assessments, developing individualised safety and support plans, advocating for client rights, and coordinating referrals across housing, legal, health, education, financial, and specialist domestic and family violence services.



Committed to recognising the unique needs of children as victim-survivors in their own right and the significant role that companion animals play in safety planning, recovery, and decisions to leave abusive environments.

Passionate about empowering individuals through compassionate, person-centred practice that restores dignity, promotes resilience, and supports long-term independence. Experienced in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and community organisations to deliver integrated, culturally responsive services that uphold human rights, foster social inclusion, and create safer outcomes for women, children, and their pets.

Pay: From $77,000.00 per year
