Full-Time Chef – Canteen Kitchen & Bar, Coolum Beach

Salary: $80,000–$85,000 per annum plus superannuation (depending on experience)

Canteen Kitchen & Bar is seeking an experienced and passionate Full-Time Chef to join our growing team in Coolum Beach.

This is a hands-on role in a busy café and restaurant, preparing high-quality breakfast, lunch and dinner service while maintaining excellent food standards and kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook high-quality meals to a consistently high standard.
- Assist with menu development and seasonal specials.
- Manage food preparation and service during busy periods.
- Monitor food quality, presentation and portion control.
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards.
- Assist with stock control, ordering and minimising wastage.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams.




- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff when required.

Essential Requirements

- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
- At least two years of relevant experience as a Chef.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Availability to work weekends, evenings and public holidays as required.
