The Employer:
Yaralla on Aitken is a large-scale 4,000-hectare cropping and livestock business based in Victoria's North Central region. As a fifth-generation family farm, the family is deeply committed to continuously evolving with the times and adopting advanced agricultural systems.

Driven by a young, forward-thinking management team, the enterprise sows 4,000 hectares annually, growing a diverse crop mix including wheat, barley, canola, vetch, faba beans, oats, and improved pastures. The property boasts a positive lineup of machinery, featuring John Deere tractors with Trimble guidance, a Case AF9 header, a trailing boom, an Amazone spreader, and a new Massey windrower and mower. The operation also utilises approximately 250 hectares of automated irrigation sourced from creek and channel systems. You will be joining a highly professional, dedicated full-time team of three family members supported by additional seasonal staff.

The company seeks an enthusiastic and energetic Farm Hand to join the operational team and assist with day-to-day duties across the large-scale broadacre cropping and livestock enterprise, which consists of 1,000 Merino ewes joined to White Suffolk rams and 100 head of Angus X cattle, in addition to opportunistic trading throughout the year.

Key tasks include operating the John Deere tractor fleet for standard cropping duties (including chaser bin, airseeding, and spreading), feeding and mustering livestock, general animal health practices, and export hay production.

A strong work ethic, reliability,



and a willingness to learn and follow operational instructions are vital to success in this environment, and a Heavy Combination (HC) driver's license is highly preferable, but not essential for this position.

The Ideal Candidate
We seek a knowledgeable individual with cropping, machinery and livestock experience, who has a mature and respectful approach to their professional and personal life. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess:

- Good communication skills, honesty, a strong work ethic, and a good sense of humour.
- Have a positive, team-focused attitude.
- Efficiency, reliability, and the ability to problem solve and be organised.
- Sound sheep and cattle animal health skills.
- Maintaining all equipment, tools, and machinery in a neat and tidy condition.
- An HC Truck license is preferred, but not essential.
- Working dogs are NOT required for this role.
