Easts Basketball is one of Sydney's leading community basketball organisations, delivering competitions, coaching and player development programs to hundreds of young players every week.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Basketball Coach to lead our Learn to Play Basketball program in Caringbah.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to help introduce them to basketball in a fun, supportive and encouraging setting.

Whether you're an experienced coach, current player, university student, teacher or former player looking to stay involved in the game, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Program

Our Learn to Play program is designed for children who are new to basketball.

The focus is on:

- Teaching fundamental basketball skills
- Building confidence and coordination
- Developing teamwork and sportsmanship
- Creating a positive first experience in basketball
- Helping children fall in love with the game

Sessions are energetic, engaging and age-appropriate, with an emphasis on participation, encouragement and enjoyment.

About the Role

You will lead a weekly Learn to Play session in Caringbah, planning and delivering fun basketball activities for beginner players aged approximately 5–14 years.

The successful applicant will:

- Deliver engaging, well-organised coaching sessions
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment
- Encourage effort, confidence and teamwork
- Communicate positively with children and parents
- Represent Easts Basketball in a professional manner

For the right coach, there are also opportunities to work across our wider coaching programs, including:

- Team training
- Skills development programs
- Mini League competitions




- School holiday camps

Weekly Sunday Morning coaching session in Caringbah.

Immediate Start

Additional weekday, weekend and school holiday coaching opportunities may also be available for the successful applicant.

Requirements

- Valid Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain one before commencing)
- Basketball playing and/or coaching experience preferred
- Right to work in Australia
