Team Leader Dunguludja Gana, Dunguludja Burrai (Strong Mums, Strong Bubs)

Current Position - Full-time, 38 hours a week – Fixed Term to 30 June 2029

About the Role

The Team Leader provides leadership, coordination, and oversight of the newly established Dunguludja Gana, Dunguludja Burrai (Strong Mums Strong Bubs) program ensuring culturally safe, family-centred, and trauma-informed services are delivered to Aboriginal children and families.

The role acts as the first point of contact for Aboriginal families accessing the service and is responsible for coordinating clinical and non-clinical staff, outreach activities, home visiting programs, community engagement, service reporting, and continuous quality improvement. The Team Leader works collaboratively across service areas to improve developmental, health, wellbeing, and educational outcomes for Aboriginal children and their families

About You

To be successful for this position, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:

- You are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
- Have relevant tertiary qualification in Nursing , Early Childhood Education , Child and Family Health , Community Services , or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal children, families, and communities.
- Strong understanding of Aboriginal culture, community priorities, and culturally safe practice.
- Experience leading,



supervising, and supporting multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of early childhood development, family support, and community health approaches.
- Experience coordinating outreach and home visiting programs.
- Demonstrated ability to manage data collection, reporting, and administrative systems.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and partnership-building skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple service areas.
