Remuneration package valued at up to $156,253.00. Base salary ranges from $90,177.00 to $137,861.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation. Base salary rates above the minimum are available depending on experience.

Position Information

Chester Hill High School (CHHS) is a comprehensive, co–educational secondary school situated in south western Sydney and is part of the Auburn Schools Educational Network. The school encompasses an Intensive English Centre and has one Inclusive Support Class. Chester Hill High School has a current student enrolment of 1046 (872 mainstream, 174 IEC). The school is culturally diverse with 80% of students possessing a language background other than English. Chester Hill High School has approximately 80 refugee or refugee–like students and a growing number of students with an Aboriginal background. The FOEI of the school is 160. All students are encouraged to achieve in an environment that provides academic challenge and artistic, cultural and sporting opportunities. Selection Criteria

1. Approval to teach secondary library or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in teacher librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.

2. Demonstrated experience and/or ability to lead and co-ordinate library programs, systems and procedures to support the effective functioning of the library and to promote library use and resources.

3. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers and faculties to support innovative teaching and learning practices for delivery in new and flexible learning spaces, including the use of digital technologies and resources.

4.



Demonstrated robust interpersonal, communication and organisation skills, with an ability to build positive and effective relationships with students, staff, parents and the community.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
