About the role

The Senior Registrar/Fellow Haematology Non-Malignant position provides advanced clinical and research experience within the Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplant service at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. Designed for clinicians who have recently completed Fellowship training in Clinical Haematology, the role offers exposure to a large tertiary and quaternary referral service with a strong focus on non-malignant haematology.

The successful candidate will gain extensive experience in consultative haematology, patient blood management, thrombosis and haemophilia care, including emerging genetic therapies. The role also provides significant opportunities to participate in clinical research, develop research protocols, conduct clinical trials, present outcomes and contribute to the advancement of evidence-based haematology practice.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

Provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient haematology services while maintaining excellence in patient care across non-malignant haematology disciplines.
Participate in specialised clinics and multidisciplinary services relating to consultative haematology, thrombosis, patient blood management and haemophilia care.
Undertake and contribute to clinical research activities, including protocol development, clinical trials, grant-related projects and presentation of research findings.
Support the education and supervision of medical,



nursing and allied health staff, while contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs.
Participate in quality improvement, protocol review, clinical governance and after-hours service arrangements to ensure continuity and excellence of care.
