Our headquarters are in Adelaide and have an engineering and operations team in Melbourne. As our Melbourne office continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated Business and Finance Support Officer to join our team.
IMPORTANT:
Applicants must hold Australian citizenship and either have, or be eligible to obtain, an Australian Defence security clearance (NV1) from the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.
About the Role
This role provides a unique opportunity to work directly with the Chief Operating Officer while supporting the day-to-day operations of our Melbourne office. You will become an integral member of our operations team, providing administrative, finance and business support across a broad range of activities. The role offers excellent exposure to business operations and is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in finance, administration and business management.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and maintaining business documentation and records, including reports, correspondence, presentations, meeting documentation, spreadsheets, templates, and formatting standards using Microsoft 365
- Coordinating meetings, travel, accommodation, and schedules.
- Coordinating office supplies, couriers, and facilities, and supporting purchasing activities, including supplier management and purchase orders.
- Assisting with accounts administration, including supplier invoice and expense processing.
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and general HR administration.
- Providing basic support for computer and software issues and liaising with IT support where required.
- Identifying and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
- Providing administrative support across the business as required

Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must be Australian Citizens with eligibility of holding an Australian security clearance.
Essential
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
- Strong financial literacy
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Excellent administration and organisational skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including document formatting, styles, and template management.
Demonstrated ability to prepare high-quality business reports, correspondence, presentations, and meeting documentation.
Desirable
- Exposure to accounting software (Xero or similar)
- Experience using Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Teams
- Experience with using Jira and Confluence
- Understanding of procurement or purchasing processes
- Experience using and integrating AI productivity tools
