Location: 16-18 Watchorn St, South Salary: $109,767 to $115,813 per annum (plus 12% superannuation contribution). Fixed‑term, full‑time (76 hours per fortnight). The selection process may also be used to fill other vacancies for a period of twelve months from publication. Applications must be submitted by Monday 10 August, 2026 11:55 PM.
Responsibilities - Deliver evidence‑based mental health assessment, case management and therapeutic interventions for children, young people and families.
- Ensure the delivery of a comprehensive clinical service through assessment, case management, evidence‑based group interventions and individual therapies, including specialised therapies for clients and their families or carers.
- Provide evidence‑based assessment and treatment interventions for clients experiencing emergent mental health challenges and parent/care‑giver‑child relationship difficulties.
- Function as an active member of a multi‑disciplinary team, including the provision of support and consultation to other team members as required.
Qualifications - Extensive experience and demonstrated specialist/clinical knowledge of mental health nursing directly applicable to the CAMHS area, including the ability to provide appropriate assessment of mental health problems.
- Proven ability to provide a range of assessments and therapeutic interventions relevant to children and families accessing services and the ability to acquire further expertise in this area.
- Experience and demonstrated knowledge and skills in liaison and consultation with other services and agencies in the context of optimising effective and efficient service provision, advice, training and continuity of care.
Essential
Criteria - Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
- Current Working with Children Registration.
Desirable
Criteria - Minimum of 2 years post‑graduate experience in an area relevant to the role.
- Post‑graduate qualification or working towards a post‑graduate qualification relevant to the role.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
