About the role:
Lawmee is working with a growing boutique law firm to secure an experienced Commercial Lawyer on a contracting basis. Commencing as soon as possible, this engagement is expected to run for 1-2 months, with the possibility of an extension depending on business requirements. They are seeking a part-time lawyer who is available for approximately 8-16 hours per week.
Working closely with the firm's Principal, you'll advise clients from a diverse range of industries and sectors, including: financial institutions, technology and online businesses, healthcare and health tech companies, insurance companies, consulting and qualified services businesses, and manufacturing companies.
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Advising clients on a range of commercial, intellectual property and technology-related matters.
- Assisting clients with deal structuring, deal negotiation and strategy, and transaction support.
- Providing strategic and legal advice in relation to a broad spectrum of commercial agreements – including shareholder agreements, founders agreements, procurement agreements, enterprise agreements, SaaS agreements, MSA’s, SOW, supply agreements, confidentiality agreements and NDAs, consulting agreements, and service agreements.
- Advising in relation to IP agreements,
IP protection and ownership, AI data licensing agreements, data sharing agreements, AI governance frameworks and policy development.
- Providing timely, pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice to clients across various industries.
Who we are looking for:
We are interested in speaking with lawyers who have 4-10+ years' PAE, ideally gained within national, international or leading boutique law firms (or with relevant law firm experience who have transitioned in-house). The successful lawyer will have demonstrated experience advising on commercial law matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a range of commercial agreements.
