Cook/Chef – Hatchlings Early Learning Waterford West

Do you love creating healthy, delicious food for children? Hatchlings Waterford is looking for a passionate and experienced Cook/Chef to join our warm, family-focused centre. This is a permanent part-time role, working 5 days per week, preparing fresh meals and snacks for approximately 75 children each day. You’ll play a vital role in supporting children’s health, wellbeing and early learning through nutritious food and fun cooking experiences.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

- Preparing morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea daily

- Menu planning, ordering and stock control

- Ensuring compliance with food safety standards

- Planning and delivering weekly cooking experiences with children

- Catering for allergy and dietary requirements

What We’re Looking For

You’ll bring

- Food Safety Supervisor & Food Handling Certificates

- Cooking experience and relevant qualifications

- Knowledge of Food Safety Standards

- Understanding of allergies and dietary needs
- A current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

- A positive, fun and passionate attitude toward working in ECEC

Hours & Flexibility

- Part-time role, 5 days per week, 20 hours per week

- Shifts available from 6:30am
