Black Finch Jewellery is an independent Melbourne brand designing and handcrafting contemporary fine jewellery from our Collingwood flagship store and workshop. Our work celebrates rare gemstones, recycled metals and artistic design, with every piece thoughtfully crafted by our in-house team.

We're looking for a warm, organised and customer-focused Front of House & Client Experience Assistant to join our team on a casual or part-time basis.

This is a fantastic chance for someone who loves creating memorable customer experiences and enjoys working in a beautiful retail environment. You'll be the first point of contact for clients, helping create a welcoming atmosphere while supporting our sales consultants and workshop team behind the scenes.

The Role

As the face of Black Finch Jewellery, you'll ensure every client feels welcomed from the moment they walk through our doors. You'll assist with day-to-day showroom operations, support client appointments, and help maintain the exceptional experience we're known for.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome and assist clients in-store, creating a warm and personalised experience.
- Manage incoming phone calls, emails and general customer enquiries.
- Schedule appointments and support the coordination of client consultations.
- Assist the sales team with administrative tasks and day-to-day showroom operations.
- Process sales, gift vouchers and retail transactions.
- Package and send online orders.
- Maintain showroom presentation, merchandising and cleanliness to a premium standard.
- Assist with stock management, packaging and general operational support.




- Liaise with the workshop team to ensure smooth communication regarding client orders.
- Support the team during busy periods and contribute to an exceptional client experience.

About You You genuinely enjoy working with people and take pride in delivering outstanding customer service. You're organised, proactive and thrive in a collaborative, creative environment. You enjoy creative environments, and have an affinity with art, design, fashion and culture.

You'll ideally have

- Previous experience in retail, customer service or front-of-house hospitality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A warm, friendly and professional approach.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confidence using computers and learning new systems.
- The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- A polished personal presentation.
- Availability to work weekdays and occasional Saturdays.

Previous jewellery or luxury retail experience is highly regarded but not essential.
