Our client provides essential building and construction services across North Queensland. They are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Superintendents Representative to join their busy trades team on a short-term contract with possible extension.
Your new role
As part of the construction team, youll play a key role in delivering maintenance and large-scale projects across various government-owned assets in Townsville and surrounding regions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting regular site inspections
- Facilitating site meetings in line with standard procedures
- Issuing Variation Orders and assessing contractual claims
- Processing Contractor Requests for Information
- Ensuring Building Act Compliance inspections are completed and documented
- Providing high-level advice to support the Superintendent in dispute resolution
- Implementing contract administration policies and procedures
- Ensuring alignment with internal systems and procedures for contract management
- Supporting post-contract performance evaluations for contractor registry requirements
- Communicating effectively with clients and project stakeholders regarding cost, time, and quality matters
- Contributing to the review and enhancement of Quality Assurance procedures
- Upholding employment equity and workplace health and safety standards
What you'll need to succeed
You bring a strong foundation in the building and construction industry, with a solid understanding of Australian standards and a commitment to workplace health and safety.
Your qualifications and experience include:
- Previous experience working as a contracts administration, project coordinator/management, planner/scheduler or licenced trade professional
- Construction White Card
- Current Drivers Licence
- Ability to interpret drawings and plans
- Solid organisational and scheduling skills
- In-depth knowledge of the Building Code and relevant Australian Standards
- Excellent computer literacy and administrative capabilities
- Experience in planning labour requirements and work schedules
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills
